Acrylic Janu Basti is an ayurvedic procedure in which a ring made of black gram flour is placed around the knee, the ring is sealed (to prevent leakage) and oil is poured in this ring. The knee joint is called Sandhi in Sanskrit; hence the name Janu Basti is given to the procedure done on knee joints. Basti is so highly revered in the panchakarma process.
